Margaret believes that cornerstones to identity are ancestry, tradition, religion, history and language which are represented in all arts forms. A native of Haiti, art is in her soul. Giving back to her community is one of her philosophical tenets. She is an active researcher and presenter in areas of conflict resolution.

Changing lives through her career as a psychotherapist and an educator, her work transforms from a counselor, mediator, arbitrator, professor, and conflict resolution consultant to community advisor, author and guest lecturer. She has contributed to books, academic journals, radio and television programs. She is on the board of professional organizations including the Broward Cultural Council and the Broward Cultural Foundation. Her peace building efforts has led to many recognitions.
