Rose is Operations Manager for L. Tomas Chancey & Associates, Inc. which provides landscape design and installation services. She is active in the community and serves on many boards including the Broward County Extension Overall Advisory Board of which she chairs. She also serves as a board member of the Fort Lauderdale Garden Club and is the chair of their Community Relations and Public Education Committee. She regularly appears on the NBC 6 South Florida today Show to provide gardening tips as a public service of the garden club thru an ongoing gardening segment she developed with NBC.

Rose is a Massachusetts native with a background in fine arts and advertising. She has also lived in the Metropolitan D.C. area for several years where she was appointed by the Mayor to the Beautification Committee for the City of Alexandria. Rose relocated to South Florida 15 years ago from Cape Cod, Massachusetts when she married her husband, real estate attorney Charles Butman. They reside in the city of Plantation.
