Rose Marie Cossick

Rose Marie Cossick was born in New York, and moved to Hollywood, FL with her family in 1972.  A businesswoman, she and her late husband were owners of several companies.  Mrs. Cossick is a past President of the South Broward Board of Realtors and a long serving Director of the Florida Association of Realtors.  She also was appointed to the Broward County Zoning Board and served as Vice Chair. 

Always a community activist Rose Marie has continually donated her time to the Arts, Charity, and the Community, and presently sits on the Broward Cultural Council.  A Breast Cancer survivor, she currently is a member of the American Cancer Society Board of Directors, works at Memorial Hospital in the Cancer Center, and is a Governor Bush appointee to the Florida Cancer Control and Research Advisory Board. Some of her participation with the Arts include: Board member of the Opera Society, a former member of the Philharmonic Society, and a Founder of the Artist Foundation of Broward. 

Prior Broward County Board appointments include the Community Health Purchasing Alliance Board (CHPA), and the Children's Service Board.  Mrs. Cossick also was an appointed member of the Florida Commission on the Status of Women and served as Commission Chair. 

Presently Rose Marie sits on several boards and is a member of a variety of organizations.  She has received many acknowledgments and several honors for her involvements including the American Cancer Courage Award.
