Richard Jay Simon is excited to be returning home to South Florida. Directing credits include: Red Light Winter, The Elephant Man, Match, Oleanna, Amadeus, Art, BecauseHeCan, The Pull of Negative Gravity, Proof, Topdog/Underdog, True West, A New Brain, the Musical, A Shayna Maidel, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, Cobb, Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, A Few Good Men, Blood Wedding, An Ideal Husband, Morphine Music Love, Blood Moon, Italian American Reconciliation, The Good Doctor, Down the Road, Fool for Love, Adaptation, Kiss Me Kate, Music Man, King and I, Fiddler on the Roof, Aladdin, Fatherland, Rabbit Hole and Actor's Nightmare.

He has worked at Court Theatre, Chicago Dramatists, and Bailiwick Repertory in Chicago; Atlantic Theatre Company, Kitchen Theatre, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Hangar Theatre, and Clark Theatre in New York.

He received his degree in theater from Ithaca College and has also studied at Boston University, Hangar Theatre Lab Company, and Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. He has also written Scared Silent, Divine Intervention, Third Degree Burning, Razor's Edge, and Dark Truth. Richard is also proud to be serving on the Board of the Theatre League of South Florida.
