Broward Cultural Division has taken a leadership role in serving regional needs of its constituents through the South Florida Cultural Consortium, an association of the arts councils of Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Dade and Monroe counties. The Consortium, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and the State of Florida, is a national model project of regional cooperation. Since 1985, the Consortium's services have included tourism publications; marketing and promotion of South Florida culture; and grants for regional projects, artists' fellowships and exhibitions, and touring.

The Cultural Foundation of Broward is the catalyst that will impact momentum on the local arts scene. Formed in 1989, the Foundation is a not-for-profit membership organization comprised of individuals and businesses that recognize the importance of promoting and supporting arts.

The Foundation provides private support and funding for special event and program sponsorship honoring artistic achievement, educational workshops, support and nurturing of professional artists, and maintain student and professional galleries.
