Broward County, Florida, 1989

Description:
Michael Smith received a direct commission to selectively document Broward County. Choosing his subjects in a very personal way, the artist had the permission of many residents, to be included in this documentary project. Working with a large format camera and completing all the photographic processes with exacting detail, Smith has created a series of crisp black-and-white gelatin silver prints. This series consists of: - Fifty eight (58) prints of size 16" X 18" - Twelve (12) prints of size 16" X 28" - Twenty (20) prints of size 24" X 28". The series of photograph is installed at different buildings within the campus of the North Regional Family Success Center.
