- 'The Yellow Brick Road' 165 ft. processional walkway between the library and middle school; embedded water jet cut pavers depicting a series of Roman alphabets, interspersed with historical alphabet images in sandblasted filler pavers

- 'Hieroglyphic Walkway' from the parking lot into the library lobby, 100-ft. tile pavers design based on hieroglyphic and alphabet images

Artist Statement:
"The idea is based on the history and development of the written language/alphabet, presented in a direct and visually evolutionary manner. It is meant to be appealing and instructional to both adults and children. The choice of the content recognizes the alphabet/writing as the fundamental building blocks of a Library for reading, learning, research, communication; man's most profound invention."
