As Interim Assistant Director, Jody Horne-Leshinsky is responsible for both the administrative section of the Division as well as the marketing programs of the Cultural Division. Overseeing daily operations, Leshinsky is the liaison to other Divisions and Departments for ensuring that county policies, procedures and reporting are met. In addition, she is responsible for the operation of the Cultural Information Center, all Division public relations, the Cooperative Marketing Program, Cultural Quarterly online magazine, Arts License Plate Marketing Plan, Cultural Division Web Site, and all Division publications. She has been instrumental in procuring several grants, two from the National Endowment of the Arts for online ticketing and an expanded Internet database; and an electronic advertising program; a cultural facilities grant from the State Division of Cultural Affairs to build the Cultural Information Center; and a planning grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation for marketing research study to determine the feasibility of branding the downtown Fort Lauderdale area as a cultural district.

A County employee since 1981, Leshinsky joined the Cultural Division in 1988. She received her bachelor's degree from Indiana State University. With the Cultural Division, she has won numerous awards from the Advertising Federation of Fort Lauderdale, the National Association of County Information Officers for publications, from the National Association of Counties for the creation of the cultural tourism program and Golden Pen Awards from the International Association of Business Communicators for the Cultural Quarterly magazine, logo design for the Cultural Information Center and the Cultural Division web site. She has also served as a panelist on the State Division of Cultural Affairs Grants Dance Panel. She lives in Lauderhill with her husband, Joel, and two daughters.
