Samantha Rojas


Samantha Rojas has been writing for Broward County Cultural Division since February 2002. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Toronto in Canada, followed with seven years’ experience in business, marketing, promotions and finance with Estee Lauder Cosmetics, Canada. As a freelance writer with Swan Communications, Inc. she has written professionally for the last seven years.

Rojas writes all press material on Cultural Division initiatives, programs and events; all the copy for the Division’s publications, and has published articles and profiles on the arts and culture for the fine arts magazines, Cultural Quarterly; Go Riverwalk (monthly column since 2004), Art of the Times, and Weston and Las Olas Lifestyle. She will be fulfilling her first national commission for Sculpture Magazine in May 2008.

She has interviewed and profiled the likes of artist Romeo Britto, the Radio City Rockettes, and Cheech Marin, and has written speeches for Broward County dignitaries attending arts and cultural events. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean, Rojas lived in Toronto for 12 years before making Fort Lauderdale her home in August 1997.
