Susan joined the Cultural Division in May 2004 as a Grants Assistant and was promoted in March 2008 to Financial Analyst. Her responsibilities include coordinating and managing fiscal operations of the Division in addition to supervising administrative operations.  Previously she was the South Florida Editor with PC Teach It. She has also been affiliated with NewsBank, Inc, Jostens Learning and Wicat Systems. In addition, Susan taught Special Education and Alternative Education for students in at-risk and ESOL classes.

Susan received her M.Ed. and certification in Training, Dynamics and Leadership from the University of Michigan; she completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University.
