Broward County Commission Board Will Hold a Public Hearing, September 23, on Proposed Service Adjustments and Bus Fare and Pass Increases

- Let's Talk Transit' Community Meetings Will Provide Details -

If approved, the proposed increase to bus fares and passes would become effective over two, fiscal year periods: October 1, 2014 and October 1, 2015. The proposed bus service adjustments will become effective October 13, 2014 for the 595 Express Bus Service, and in January 2015 for the US 1 Breeze Limited-Stop service.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964

BCT has completed Title VI Equity Analyses in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Equity analyses are required before implementation of a major service or fare change to ensure that adverse effects of fare or service changes are not disproportionately felt by minority and low-income passengers.

Traffic Delays Expected on Route 11 Along A1A due to Construction, Beginning July 28, 2014
Beginning on Monday, July 28, the Florida Department of Transportation will start construction on A1A, between Sunrise Boulevard (north) to Northwest 18th Street.

Because of slow-moving traffic, passengers should expect delays on Route 11. No route detour is planned at this time. BCT will post any route detours and/or relocation of bus stops within the construction area as more information becomes available.
