Transit Summit Begins Dialogue for Developing
a Public Transportation Plan
On October 16, 2007, elected and appointed officials, community and business leaders, and transit riders came together to address the public transportation issues confronting our region. Through roundtable discussions and presentations by Broward County Mayor Josephus Eggelletion, Vice-Mayor Lois Wexler and Bill Millar, President of the American Public Transportation Association, participants were informed of transportation concerns and offered solutions to meet current and future public transportation needs.
