ENHANCEMENTS MADE TO LONG TERM DISABILITY PROGRAM
LONG TERM DISABILITY OPEN ENROLLMENT June 18 – June 29.
Employee Benefit Services has announced several enhancements along with lower rates to the Group Long Term Disability (LTD) plan effective July 1, 2007.
Employees currently enrolled in LTD will automatically rollover to the enhanced benefit plan offered by Standard Insurance Co. effective July 1. Some of the enhancements are:

Benefit level increased from 50% of first $6,000 of monthly predisability earnings to 60% of first $10,000 of monthly predisability earnings reduced by Deductible Income.

Maximum benefit increased from $3,000 monthly before reduction by Deductible Income to $6,000 monthly before reduction by Deductible Income

Disability Provisions now include Own Occupation and Any Occupation

Employees not currently enrolled have an opportunity during the open enrollment period of June 18 – 29 to enroll with guaranteed issue (no medical underwriting).
LTD is an after-tax plan which allows enrollment or cancellation at any time during the year. Enrollments outside of the open enrollment period are subject to medical underwriting. See Group Long Term Disability Insurance Certificate for plan benefits, exclusions and limitations.
