The Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit, held Friday, October 23, 2009 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, is hosted by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners in partnership with Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties. Participating are local officials, federal and state legislators, regional transportation, planning and water management authorities, and members of the regional Climate Change/Green Task Forces representing the four counties. The purpose of this precedent-setting summit is to develop a regional collaboration that will support a coordinated climate change strategy.
