Center for Climate Change and Environmental Forecasting: The Center for Climate Change and Environmental Forecasting is an initiative of the U.S. Department of Transportation, dedicated to fostering awareness of the potential links between transportation and global climate change, and to formulating policy options to deal with the challenges posed by these links.

A 445 page report by the U.S. Climate Change Science Program and the Subcommittee on Global Change Research provides an assessment of the vulnerabilities of transportation systems in the region to potential changes in weather patterns and related impacts, as well as the effect of natural land subsidence and other environmental factors in the region.
