Applying for a Movers Registration
You Must Provide the Following:

Note: Registration & Permit expires on Sept 30th of every year.
Explanations:
1. Submit a completed application for "Mover Registration Application".
2. Mover registration fee is $325 and Mover Permit (decal) is $50 per vehicle. Payable by cash (in person only), check, credit card (except American Express), or money order. Checks made payable to: Broward County Commissioners.
3. Provide a copy of current driver license.
4. Provide a copy of current Florida vehicle registration for each vehicle
5. Provide a copy of the cargo legal liability; motor vehicle combined bodily injury & property damage liability; and general liability certificates of insurance (ACORD form) evidencing adequate insurance coverage in full force and effect. Notes: For insurance coverage minimum, see the Broward County Moving Ordinance. The insurance certificate must list the Broward County Consumer Affairs Division as a certificate holder and must provide at least 30 days advance notice of cancellation. However, if using truck rentals, then provide us with a statement from the rental company that the truck is for moving purpose and proof of insurance.
6. Provide a copy of Certificate of Workers' Compensation Insurance. If your business has 3 or less employees, then provide a "Certificate of Exemption from Florida Workers' Compensation Law" from State of FL Dept of Financial Services (954) 585-2660, www.fldfs.com/wc or submit an explanation letter of exemption.
7. Provide a current Broward County Occupational License.
8. Provide a current City Occupational License (if applicable).
9. Provide a copy of the Articles of Incorporation and corporate minutes listing officers/directors. If operating under a fictitious name, then the mover must provide a copy of an active, current fictitious name registration, issued by Florida Division of Corporations, Secretary of State, Div. of Corporations Tallahassee, FL 32314, (850) 488-9000, www.sunbiz.org
New Applicant
You must first complete steps 1 -3. Then apply for, gather, and provide steps 4-9. Next we will verify that all the above information has been submitted and is complete, we will forward your new registration and vehicle decal(s) by certified mail. Finally you must apply for your Intrastate License with the FL Dept of Agriculture & Consumer Services at 800-HELP FLA, www.800helpfla.com
Renewal Applicants
Once the Consumer Affairs Division has processed your registration fees, and verified that all the above information has been submitted and is complete, we will forward your new registration and vehicle decal(s) by certified mail. Contact us with any question you may have.
