Applying For A Port Everglades Business Permit
Business Permits and Vehicle Decals expire on June 30th of every year.

Explanations:
1. Submit a completed application
Port Everglades Permit Application -- PDF
2. Port Everglades initial application fee (for 1st time applicants and late renewals only) is $200, the Annual Business Permit fee is $250, and the decal fee per vehicle is $15.
Payable by cash (in person only), check, credit card (except American Express), or money order.
Checks made payable to: Broward County Commissioners.
3. Provide a copy of current Florida vehicle registration for each vehicle
4. Submit Vehicle for Hire permit documentation. For example:
- From Miami-Dade Passenger Transportation Regulatory Division: Current vehicle inspection report.
- From Palm Beach County Consumer Affairs Division: Individual Vehicle for Hire permit for each vehicle or computer printout with list of vehicles (showing make, model year and VIN) signed and dated.
(You are not required to re-submit this documentation for vehicles with Broward County Vehicle-for-Hire Operating Permits or for vehicles with a passenger capacity in excess of 19 passengers.)
5. Provide a copy of the motor vehicle public liability & property damage liability, and general liability certificates of insurance (ACORD form) evidencing adequate insurance coverage in full force and effect . The insurance certificate must list the Broward County Consumer Affairs Division as a certificate holder and must provide at least 30 days advance notice of cancellation.

NOTE: General Liability - minimum limits: $500,000 per occurrence and policy must list the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as an Additional Insured.
Motor Vehicle Public Liability & Property Damage Liability - minimum limits: [For vehicle with passenger capacity less than 9 passengers - $125,000/$250,000/$50,000] [For vehicle with passenger capacity from 9 thru 19 passengers - $500,000 CSL] [More than 19 passengers - State of Florida minimum requirements]
6. Provide a current County Business Tax Receipt (formerly Occupational License.)
7. Provide a copy of the Articles of Incorporation and corporate minutes listing officers/directors. If operating under a fictitious name, then provide a copy of an active, current fictitious name registration, issued by Florida Division of Corporations.
NOTE: Applicants operating vehicles designed to transport more than 15 passengers, including the driver, must also provide documentation of either an Intrastate USDOT number or an Interstate USDOT number.
