Urban Wildlife
Broward County's population is rapidly expanding. The Urban Wildlife Program provides research based approaches to help incorporate sustainable environment and wildlife considerations into development and landscape and environmental management.
Preserving Florida's unique collection of wildlife and natural habitats requires informed planning. the Extension Scientist and staff at the Agriculture and Extension Education Division promote this understanding among government agencies, environmentalists, land-use planners, developers and the residents of the County.
A variety of instructional techniques including seminars, workshops, printed fact sheets, and telephone consultations are used to help provide this information.
