Mental Health Counseling/Psychotherapy LIFT Program
The Mental Health Counseling/Psychotherapy Program provides individual, family and group psychotherapy and Life Skill classes. State licensed psychotherapists and Master's level interns provide initial screening, clinical assessment, care planning, therapy and case coordination and consultation with community health providers and Broward County courts.
Services, which are accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), are designed to assist low-income Broward County residents of any age, ethnicity, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation, who may be experiencing behavioral, relationship and daily life problems that interfere with self-sufficiency, threaten the stability of the individual or family unit, or may lead to further involvement with public services, such as welfare, criminal and juvenile justice or public health. The problems must be appropriate for a short-term therapy program.
Clients needing long-term therapy or psychiatric services will be referred to other resources in the community. Services are provided at the Family Success Centers. For program schedule, please contact the nearest Family Success Center.
