The Refugee Services Program provides services with the goal of leading to economic and social self sufficiency for refugees, asylees, and Cuban/Haitian entrants. Case managers who speak your language and understand your culture will help you find jobs, interpret, advocate, and provide information and referrals for other services.

Employment Services
Clients are informed about the job market and the procedure required in hiring personnel in the United States.
We make sure that our clients are fully screened and eligible to work. We promote the experience and job knowledge that clients have earned in their country of origin. The clients are helped to prepare a resume which is submitted along with our referral to the potential employer. Job interviews are scheduled by the case managers for clients.
Case managers accompany clients in the job search activities and assist them in the job application process. Active job search and a positive attitude toward self-sufficiency are promoted at all times by the case managers while working with the clients. As part of the TANF employment referral system, we are receiving computer referrals of Refugee clients eligible for TANF benefits through the Florida WAGES Information System. Refugee Services Office is a Work Force One provider for TANF clients.
We provide monthly follow ups for a period of 180 days after job placement.
Bus passes (20 weeks) and child care services are provided for all clients who qualify during job search and while working. Tools, uniforms, reference books and license fees are paid for by our program in order to ensure job retention.
