OUR PROGRAMS
ACCESS SERVICES: Our assessment team completes a comprehensive assessment and, in conjunction with the individual, make a determination as to the appropriateness of treatment and level of care.
DETOXIFICATION: A multidisciplinary team offers medically supervised detoxification from alcohol and/or drugs. In addition to medical stabilization, clients participate in an individualized assessment. Education and information regarding addiction and recovery is provided to clients and their families. Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are conducted daily.
The detoxification program varies depending on clients' need. Each client completing this program will receive a referral to continue treatment services within BARC or to another appropriate agency.
HOMELESS ASSISTANCE RE-ENTRY TEAM (HART): The HART Team provides case management services for individuals who are homeless.
NON-RESIDENTIAL DAY TREATMENT (NRD) is a three to five week operating Monday through Friday. This program provides intensive services for those who are not presently in need of medical detoxification.
This program also serves as a potential step-down program for individuals who would benefit from this service following residential treatment.
OUTPATIENT: A three to six month program for individuals who have been assessed and meet criteria for this level of care. Services include individual, group, and family support and education services.
RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT SERVICES (RTS): This short-term inpatient program provides a supportive environment to establish the principle of recovery. Substance abuse education, counseling and family support is provided. The life circumstances of each client are assessed and incorporated into treatment. Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous meetings are available. Upon completion, continuity of care is provided through referrals to other BARC programs and community resources.
RESOURCES FOR RECOVERY (RFR): A case management and client advocacy program for individuals seeking substance abuse treatment who have had difficulty staying sober in traditional settings.
SPECIALTY TRACKS AND PROGRAMS: Throughout the continuum of care, we have several specialized programs or tracks to meet the needs of the diverse Broward County population.
