</SPAN></SPAN>

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">This is responsible technical and administrative work assisting in property management for Broward County’s Port Everglades.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Work involves responsibility for assisting with managing and coordinating a variety of property management functions. Duties include lease and franchise administration and monitoring, tenant relations and leasehold inspections. Assignments are received either orally or in writing. Work is performed with some independence under the general supervision of an administrative superior. Performance is reviewed periodically through conferences, written reports and evaluation of results obtained.

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New"><SPAN style="TEXT-DECORATION: underline">ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS

</SPAN></SPAN>

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Assists with the development of policies, procedures and priorities to meet established goals of the Port Everglades Department's Business Administration Division.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Assists with the development of leases, development of permits, amendments and other property agreements for office buildings, franchises, warehouses, land and other facilities at Port Everglades.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Inspects, evaluates and monitors the Port's leaseholds and facilities for compliance with terms and conditions contained in leases and property agreements, and with established departmental policies and FDLE regulations.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Determines non-compliance and makes recommendations to an administrative superior for corrective action. </SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Initiates and develops responsible contacts with Port tenants to ensure favorable working relationships among departmental administration, tenants, Port clients and the community.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Inputs records of all lease agreements for property and space rentals; identifies effective dates and termination dates, description of property, annual rental obligations, company name and any special agreements.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Prepares special reports as required.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Attends conferences and public and professional meetings.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Performs related work as required.

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Knowledge of the principles and practices of real property management, commercial and industrial property leasing and contract management.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Knowledge of the principles and practices of business and public administration.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Knowledge of various Port Everglades properties including nature, condition, location and potential use.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Knowledge of all federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to the leasing of real property at ports.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of supervision, organization and administration.</SPAN>

 

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Ability to assist with the negotiation and preparation of complex leases and property agreements for the leasing of real property.</SPAN>

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New"><SPAN style="TEXT-DECORATION: underline">REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING</SPAN></SPAN>

<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Courier New">Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in public or business administration, or related field; two (2) years experience in property management and lease administration; or any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
