EQUAL OPPORTUNITY COMPLIANCE ANALYST
NATURE OF WORK
This is administrative work in the coordination and administration of specially assigned programs and projects in the Office of Equal Opportunity.
Work involves ensuring the County's compliance with federal, state, and county internal policies, procedures and reporting requirements particularly as it relates to small disadvantaged business enterprises. Work includes ensuring procurement contract compliance, developing affirmative action goals, and measures of achievement. Position incumbent collects and analyzes data, and advises the Director of trends and program impacts in order to assist in program planning and development activities. Work is reviewed by an administrative superior through conference, reports, and achievement of goals.
ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS
Participates in strategic planning activities; advises staff on efficiency improvements and performance enhancements.
Develops affirmative action goals and measures of achievement for small disadvantaged business enterprises.
Determines the viability of goals established for small disadvantaged business enterprises pertaining to county procurement contracts.
Conducts research on issues, projects and activities related to small disadvantaged business enterprises; analyzes data and prepares special reports; develops and updates small disadvantaged business enterprise disparity studies.
Prepares periodic statistical and special reports for federal, state, and county agencies.
Provides administrative assistance in producing office publications and press releases; serves as office representative at meetings.
Provides technical support and assistance in planning equal opportunity programs and activities.
Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in collecting, analyzing, and presenting statistical data.
Considerable knowledge of the principles of management, organization, and strategic planning.
Knowledge of modern office practices, systems and equipment.
Knowledge of computer software utilized in compiling, analyzing, and producing reports.
Ability to work independently, plan, organize, and execute assignments with minimum supervision.
Ability to conduct research, organize, analyze, prepare and present technical information.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of specific equal opportunity and affirmative action programs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in public or business administration, economics, urban planning, or related field; four (4) years experience in conducting research, analyzing data, and presenting technical data appropriate to area of assignment; or any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
