
ERP PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR

NATURE OF
WORK
This is
highly responsible professional and administrative work in planning, organizing
and directing the activities of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project
Team.
Work involves
responsibility for the administration and direction of the countywide,
multi-year ERP Project. Position
incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment in coordinating the work
of highly skilled consultants and teams of county managers and professional
staff in redesigning and integrating a wide range of financial, budget, purchasing,
human resources, payroll, learning and management systems. Assignments are received in the form of broad
policy statements. Work is performed
independently with general supervision by an administrative superior. Performance is reviewed periodically through
conferences and written reports.
ILLUSTRATIVE
TASKS
Administers
the countywide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project; directs through
subordinates, consultants and diverse county staff the planning, designing,
scheduling and integration of diverse systems into modules of an ERP system.
Develops
policies, procedures and priorities to meet established project goals and
objectives.
Directs the
activities of county staff teams to document, analyze, redesign, and integrate
business processes.
Develops
partnerships with and collaboration among staff and managers throughout the
county.
Promotes and
coordinates change management initiatives associated with multi-year system
changes
Evaluates
process changes proposed by consultants and county teams for consistency with
county goals and objectives and makes recommendations.
Provides
guidance for preparation of the annual and multi-year budget office budget and
prepares special reports as required
Attends conferences
and public and professional meetings.
Performs
related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE,

Thorough
knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration and/or
business administration.
Thorough
knowledge of the funding process in a municipal environment as related to
budgeting, cost accounting, financial planning and management.
Thorough
knowledge of process analysis and process improvement methods.
Considerable
knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of supervision,
organization and administration.
Considerable
knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of group facilitation, team
building, and conflict resolution.
Ability to
plan, implement, and coordinate enterprise-wide technical and administrative
programs.
Ability to
plan, organize and facilitate enterprise-wide teams of management and
professional staff to work toward common purposes.
Ability to
express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to
facilitate communications between technical staff and system users and
stakeholders.
Ability to

REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Graduation
from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in
public or business administration or related field; six (6) years experience in
a staff or administrative capacity appropriate to the area of assignment, including four ( 4) years management or
high level supervisory and administrative experience; or any equivalent
combination of relevant training and experience.
