HOMELESS
Broward County Transit buses will offer evacuation transportation from three assigned pick-up points to four homeless shelters when a hurricane warning is announced and a mandatory evacuation order is issued (see below). Transportation will continue until sustained winds reach 35 miles per hour. Drivers will encourage homeless persons to take the first available bus. The pick-up points noted below are for homeless assistance only. Broward County Transit has separate hurricane evacuation pick-up points.
