Welcome Message from Director

Although this past year was a challenging one for us, Broward County Library has continued to aim higher, work harder, and strive to maintain our excellent level of customer service to the citizens of Broward County.

Our library is a reflection of our community - vibrant, multicultural, and growing. Broward County Library has achieved new milestones in the past year, and, as the needs of our customers increase, so does our commitment to providing more ways to offer them the services, programs and materials necessary to meet them. With technology at the forefront of our society, we've increased our electronic services and online presence. Traffic on our Web site continues to grow at a momentous pace, and we've added new electronic updates and newsletters to provide two-way communication with the customers who depend on us.

This year saw the openings of three new library facilities and the ground-breaking of a fourth. We've implemented many changes in the past year, and our caring and dedicated staff has worked harder than ever to meet and exceed service goals that provide a higher quality of life for everyone in Broward County.

This Annual Report offers a chance to view our many accomplishments and achievements of the past year, and to reflect on how we can touch and change even more lives. We thank all of those who have helped and partnered with us throughout the past year, and we look forward to even greater success and growth in the future.
