Book Collectors of South Florida
An Organization Dedicated to the Book Arts

THE PURPOSE OF THE SOCIETY

The purpose of the Fontaneda Society is to further the interests of booklovers
through studies in book collecting, fine printing and related graphic arts, bookbinding and the many amenities of book design, typography and bibliography; and to promote and encourage public interest in and support of such pursuits through exhibitions, lectures, courses of study or instruction, awards, scholarships, fellowships and other means of public  education. One of the primary purposes of the Fontaneda Society is to support the development of the Dianne and Michael Bienes Special Collections and Rare Book Library of the Broward County Library.
