Bookletters: a Way to Preview the Library's Newest Books

Hundreds of new library books! So little time to read them all . . .

One way to become an educated consumer of new library books is to browse through the library's BookLetters section for background information about the books. Here you can find bestseller lists from the New York Times and other organizations, and brief book reviews of fiction and nonfiction, organized by genre.

Are you interested in romance stories, Christian fiction, fantasy, historical novels, horror stories, mysteries, science fiction and thrillers? Or nonfiction books on business, health, hobbies, investing, careers, lifestyles, politics, current events and science?

As you roam through your genre and find a title that intrigues you, there is a button to click to "Check Our Catalog" and find out where the book is in the library system, and if it is checked out or available. You can click to a book review and even read an excerpt from the book to get a sample of the author's writing style. You can also search for other titles in the library system by the same author.

The Bookletters web site also has search categories for new books to please younger readers and teenagers. Plus, it has reviews of new audiobooks, new movies, and new music.
