It’s back to school time – the perfect time to use Broward etutor, Broward County Library’s premier online, interactive learning center. Staffed by nationally accredited tutors, Broward etutor offers free one-on-one tutoring in math, science, social studies and English. Students in grade four through the freshman year in college can get help seven days a week from 2 to 10 p.m. The service is also available in Spanish.

Over 30,000 people download the library’s award-winning magazine, Bookings, each month. They know it is the easiest way to view information about programming for 37 library locations as well as articles about services and events. Bookings can be downloaded 24 hours a day and is always available at your local library.

Broward County Library Wins 8 NACIO Awards
Broward County Library won eight awards from the National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO) for the second year in a row! In this prestigious awards competition, our marketing services section was proud to win for the following materials:

Superior Award for writing with The Story of AARLCC, an overview of the inception of the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC) to the present-day.

Awards of Excellence for three items:
The BENIN Catalog, a 150-page color catalog with photos and description.
External Publications category for Bookings, a monthly magazine.
The marketing materials for the Jules Verne Project: Journey through the Imagination of Jules Verne.

Meritorious Awards for four items:
Broward County Library’s online monthly E-Newsletter.
The cover of September Bookings for the photography category.
