Experience the Library with Your Child This Season
Take the time to bring your child to the library this holiday season. Enjoy a holiday program such as a special holiday craft or storytelling session and then apply for a library card with your child. Instead of a gift card that is used and forgotten, give your child a card they can have for life offering access to millions of materials including the latest DVDs, best sellers, music and more.
Of course, in addition to the almost-unlimited amount of materials available for check out, Broward County Library offers other privileges to cardholders, such as no-cost access to the Internet as well as other databases and the opportunity to place holds on in-demand items such as the newest Harry Potter book or latest number one DVD.
It’s really one of the most valuable – yet inexpensive – things you can give to a child. Look in this issue of “Bookings” for great holiday-related programs and plan to fill out a library card application with your child at any library circulation desk this holiday season.
