Dates in History
From June 1 through the 30th, grab something sweet and celebrate National Candy Month. (Or, if you prefer flowers to candy, it’s also National Rose Month.) Be extra nice to your mechanic from June 10 to 16 in honor of National Automotive Service Professionals Week. Family History Day, June 14, is a great time to share folklore and family stories with your loved ones, but at 7 p.m., make sure you take a break from telling tales and “Pause for the Pledge” for a patriotic moment. Are you a female in the construction biz? If so, be sure to celebrate on June 16, Professional Women in Drywall Day. Father’s Day is Sunday, June 17 (and the 35th anniversary of the arrest of the Watergate burglars). If you’re lonely and looking, Meet a Mate Week is June 18-24; if things go well, you could be celebrating Decide to Be Married Day (June 27).
