Did you know that Broward County Library has developed award-winning E-Communication tools to improve customer communication?
The E-Newsletter is the library’s free, monthly online publication that goes out to more than 5,000 customers each month. Each issue highlights programs, services, and events at Broward County Library. The E-Newsletter started in November 2004 as a text-based e-mail and has transformed into the library’s premier online communication tool. The E-Newsletter has won numerous accolades including Best of Show in the 2007 National Association of County Information Officers award competition.
The library also offers E-Updates for branches that gives a detailed list of programs and classes for specific locations. Customers can sign up for the free E-Updates and receive information for their library locations each month in their e-mail box.
The library also began a new service to inform customers when new library locations are scheduled to open. Instead of waiting for a paper invitation via snail mail, customers can simply enter their name and e-mail address and let the library send them an E-Invitation. For the West Regional Library, more than 1,400 customers signed up for an electronic invitation. The new Miramar Library and Educational Center offers even more. Customers who sign up will receive construction updates in addition to the E-Invitation. To be one of the first to know more about the new Miramar Library and Educational Center, sign up today!
