Broward etutor offers completely free and confidential homework help from 2 to 10 p.m., seven days a week from any Broward County Library location or remotely from the convenience any computer with Internet access at home, work, or even school. The service is also available in Spanish.
Students need their Broward County Library card and the last four digits of the telephone associated with that card to access the online tutoring. Students and tutors can review specific homework questions using a chat system and an interactive white board to explain solutions to problems.
The tutoring is provided by Tutor.com, the largest online tutoring company with more than 2,000 certified, background checked tutors. Tutor.com recently won a Parent’s Gold Choice Award.
Additionally this year, the new service offers two new features: K-3 and Adult Assistance.
K-3: Parents and young children can use this service together to increase the child’s ability to succeed in computer literacy and provide practice for fine motor skills.
Adult Assistance: For help with research, preparing for the GED, continuing adult education support, resume writing, or work-related writing, adults can benefit from live assistance from a professional and confidential tutor.
