Recognition in Reading Awards
Broward County Library launches a new literacy initiative, the First Annual Broward County Library’s Recognition in Reading Awards. Designed to recognize individuals in the community who have either made achievements in reading themselves or have influenced or made a difference through reading in the life of others, the awards are open to almost anyone – teacher, friend, librarian, family member, or mentor.
Nominations are being accepted from September 1 through December 8; simply complete the nomination form on the back of the September issue of the library’s monthly magazine, Bookings, and return it via e-mail, fax or standard mail. Award winners will be recognized during a special library program at the beginning of 2007.
