JaZz AnD LiQuOr…
by Lloret Pelayo

Chicago is a mysterious sort of town
While jazz and liquor tap around,
The brunette's hands drip of blood
TA-TA-TAH she gets locked up.
Once in her cell
She begins to tell
Her story of love betrayed.
I loved him-Killed him
My sister too,
Can't believe they took me as a fool.
Chicago is a mysterious sort of town
While jazz and liquor tap around,
The blonde bombshell didn't think twice
As she grabbed the steel,
Cold as ice.
BANG! BANG!
And now she paid the price,
Trapped behind bars
Still sure what she did was right.
Chicago is a mysterious sort of town
While jazz and liquor tap around,
Velma who was the brunette,
Hoped her lawyer would get her out without fret
Then stepped in, Miss Roxie Heart
And Velma now was unsure of her pending depart.
Miss Roxie the bombshell soon stole the public's eye
And left quite soon to begin her rise.
Chicago is a mysterious sort of town
While jazz and liquor tap around,
Roxie struggled to reach for fame
Until one day Velma came,
Soon they both got what the strived for
Pictures in papers and names in bright lights,
The question is
Was it worth their lover's lives?
