Citizenship Classes
> Saturdays - Citizenship Preparation Class, a joint project of the Hollywood Branch Library and
Hispanic Unity of Florida, 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon
Communication and Language
> Mondays - Spanish Club, a conversation class for intermediate students of Spanish (all in
Spanish), 1 to 2 p.m.
> Wednesdays - English Café, a conversation class for intermediate students of English,
10:30 a.m. to 12 noon
> Thursdays - English Café, a conversation class for intermediate students of English,
12:30 to 2 p.m.
> Thursdays - Spanish Club, a conversation class for intermediate students of Spanish (all in

Book Discussions and Writing Groups
> Thursdays - "Scribblers 500" Writers Circle: Primarily for adult (and mature teen) poets and
microstory authors with works of 500 words or less, but newbies are definitely welcome. Goals
include general workshopping, out-of-the-box writing exercises, and (hopefully) public
readings or publication. 7 to 8 p.m.
> May 14 - Shorts - Short Story Discussion Group, an international selection of short stories for
lively exchange, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
> May 21 - Hollywood Screenwriters Group - Open to all aspiring screenwriters aged 18 and up.
Put yourself on the fast track to the "other Hollywood"! 6 to 8 p.m.
> May 22 - Quick and Easy Classics book group - No registration necessary; just show up having
read the book, The Optimist's Daughter by Eudora Welty, and be ready to discuss it. Please call
