> Broward Schools Technology Skills* - Find out how to access your child's school information
   online -- i.e., Virtual Counselor, FCAT tools, etc. Information on Broward County Library
   services -- such as how to get a library card, computer cards, library computer use, homework
   help, databases, and available classes -- will be provided. All ages. (A simultaneous program
   will be provided for children.)  12 noon to 1 p.m.
> Family Nutrition Program* - Learn how to prepare nutritional meals with low budgets. All ages.
   1:30 to 3 p.m.

* This session is part of a program that is funded by the MOSAIC grant from the School Board
   of Broward County and from the Broward Public Library Foundation's Newcomers New American
   program grant, with support from Comcast and Western Union.

> Ready? Aim.You're Hired! Interviewing Skills for Young Adults, ages 15 and up. Sponsored
   through the MOSAIC grant and supported by Broward County School Board and Broward Public
   Library Foundation.  6 to 7:45 p.m.

Sept. 20
> SAT Program, Part 2 of three-part series.*  SAT Practice Test. Please bring at least two #2
   pencils and a calculator.  10:30 a.m.

Sept. 22
> SAT Program, Part 3 of three-part series.*  SAT Follow-up Session. Includes full-length score
   report and special resource books for students who complete the series.  6 p.m.
 

Sept. 23
> Teen Volunteer Orientation, ages 13 and up. Earn community service hours for school. Space
   is limited. Call library for information. 6 p.m.

Sept. 25
> Teen Reading Circle. We will read and discuss You Hear Me?, poems and writing by teenage
   boys. Each teen participating will receive a book to start their home library. Ages 13 and up.
   Refreshments will be served.  Sponsored through the MOSAIC grant, and supported by Broward
   County School Board, Broward Public Library Foundation, and Friends of the North Lauderdale
   Saraniero Branch Library. 4 p.m.

All public computers at Broward County Library use the Windows XP Professional platform, Internet Explorer 6.0. The Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word) is being upgraded at several locations, from the 2003 version to the 2007. To find out which version is being used or if you have other software questions, please contact the library staff.
