Book Discussions and Writing Groups
> July 1 - Let's Talk About it, A Mind of Her Own: Fathers and Daughters in a Changing World.
   Bread Givers by Anzia Yezierska. Discussion led by Rabbi Mark Gross. Call 954-201-2601 for
   information and to register for the series. Attendees are encouraged to read the book prior to
   the discussion and to attend the remaining three events that are scheduled through November
   2008. This reading and discussion series has been made possible through a grant from
   Nextbook and the American Library Association. 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Business, Careers, Finance
> July 15 - Investors Discussion Group, with Bruce Frenkel. Discuss market trends and portfolio
   strategies. 1 to 2:30 p.m.
> July 30 - FAU Small Business Development Class: Tax Tips for Your Small Business. Sponsored
   by the FAU Small Business Development Center. 6 to 8 p.m.

Communication and Language
> Tuesdays - English Café, conversational practice for intermediate learners of English. 
   7 to 8:30 p.m.
> July 10 - El Club de Conversación en Español, conversational-Spanish practice for English
   speakers. Also: Volunteers are needed who speak both Spanish and English. For information,

Dance
> Wednesdays (except July 2) - Free dance lessons with Rick Wray. All levels of dancers are
   welcome; partners not required. Dances will include fox trot, waltz, tango, rumba, cha cha,
   salsa, swing, and more. Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions, and should
   wear smooth-soled shoes (not sneakers). Instructor Rick Wray has been teaching South
   Floridians to dance for over 25 years. Sponsored by the Friends of North Regional/BCC Library.

> Brazil ao Vivo III. Kids Learn to Speak Portuguese @ your library. Ages 7-10. Program

> Tots & Tales and Freeplay. Music, finger plays, stories, and educational toys. Ages up to
   35 months, with parent/caregiver. 
   Session 1: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.  Session 2: 11 a.m. to 12 noon.

> Summer Special: Make it and Take it Crafts. Ages 6-9.  2 to 3 p.m.
> Wags & Tales. Children gain confidence in their reading skills by reading to Mack, our pet
   therapy dog. Ages 5-12. Sponsored by the Humane Society of Broward County. 6 to 7 p.m.

> Summer Special: Stories from Around the World. Ages 3-5.  2 to 2:30 p.m.

July 23
> Summer Special: Ronald McDonald brings fun, laughter, and interactive activities. Ages 3 and
