  • The problem solving process is initiated by a parent, teacher, mental health professional, school personnel or anyone concerned about the child

    • A child study team is convened to review all information.  If services are needed:


    • Additional interventions are implemented when appropriate


    •  The need for additional evaluation is determined. If so, parental consent is sought, and a referral packet is sent to the evaluation specialist

    •  Staffing committee and parent review assessment findings
    • Eligibility and placement determinations are made

  • 504 Accommodations – individualized educational interventions for any disability (including ADHD)
  • Individualized Education Plan (IEP) – Any student with ESE services has an IEP which is reviewed and updated annually. Parents and involved professionals participate in these staffings
  • ESE eligible, in mainstream classes – Some students receive special accommodations, but are in regular class settings, or receive special services during the day
