MISSION STATEMENT:
To advise the Broward County Commission and the County’s Parks and Recreation Division, in the provision of a countywide park system with diverse facilities and recreational opportunities, along with natural area conservation and research-based educational outreach, to enhance the well-being of residents, businesses, and visitors.
Goal 1:
Provide the Broward County Commission and Parks and Recreation Division with relevant information, feedback, and evaluation regarding community needs for parks and recreation programs, services, amenities and research based educational outreach.
Objective 1:
Conduct nine public meetings which include two evening meetings scheduled for public input annually in a variety of communities across the County.

Maintain an on-going suggestion box program for designated park site offices through 9/30/10.

Maintain a response mechanism on the Division’s website through 6/30/10, so that the public can make suggestions/inquiries directly to the PAB.

Conduct “secret shopper” site visits for each Commission district by 6/1/10.

Goal 2:
Assist the Division in the establishment of collaborative partnerships in order to enhance revenue generating opportunities or savings.

Coordinate a minimum of one introductory meeting annually between the Division and potential cooperative partners.

Provide a minimum of two revenue generating leads annually that result in face-to-face meetings between potential sponsors, the Division, and PAB representatives.
