This approximately 110-acre multipurpose facility, located in the City of Lauderhill, is the first County regional park to be acquired and developed through the Broward County Commission's 2000 Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Program.

Main Event Field and Viewing/Seating Section: A circular, multipurpose, lighted Central Broward stadiumfield, 560 feet in diameter, with 5,000 covered seats and additional seating for 15,000 spectators possible. The venue may be used for concerts and sporting events or other special events. The field is capable of hosting a variety of local, national, and international sports championship games and will contain four turf pitches. Field use by permit only.

Main Event Building:  The first floor includes the park lobby with Main Clubhouse at Central Broward Regional Parkreceptionist/facility reservation area, elevator, team locker rooms, restrooms, concession area, and main event field viewing room that may also be rented for parties or other social occasions. Second floor includes park and district management offices, concession warming area, and scoreboard operations center, along with a VIP viewing area and conference room that may be rented for small meetings and gatherings of up to 20 people. Multipurpose Fields: Four lighted soccer/football fields with spectator seating that can also be used as two cricket fields with artificial pitches. Field use by permit only.

Tennis Courts: Two lighted standard courts.

Tropical Splash Water Playground:   Open seasonally. Interactive, ADA-accessible, with separate areas designed for older and younger children. Lifeguard-Tropical Splash during spring break '08monitored at all times. Very young children are required to wear swim diapers. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. U.S. Coast Guard-approved life vests available free of charge. No outside food, coolers, pets, water toys, floats, cooking grills, glass containers, or alcoholic beverages allowed in aquatics facility. There is a $4.50 admission fee to enter Tropical Splash.   Concessions (food and beverages) may be purchased.

 

Instructional Pool: From zero-depth to four feet deep with one edge support for students to grasp, this instructional pool will host SWIM Central water-safety lessons in cooperation with the Broward County School Board.

 

Paddleboats can be rentedBoats: Paddleboats available for rental at the aquatics facility by the hour, half-day, and full day on weekends and designated county holidays. Fee and deposit required.  U.S. Coast Guard-approved life vests provided must be worn.

 

 

 

 

Funbrellas: Colorful 20-foot-diameter umbrellas available for full-day rental at the aquatics facility. Each includes tables and chairs. Capacity: 50. Fee and deposit required.

 

Picnic Shelters: Seven picnic shelters, varying capacities, each with Corporate shelter grills, water, and electricity. Two corporate pavilions (400+ capacity) with large cooking grills, serving counter, water, electricity, and restrooms. Shelters and pavilions are available by reservation only.

 

Nature Trail: Approximately 1.5 miles long in the west and northwest sections of the facility.

 

Pedestrian Bridge: A llows limited access to West Ken Lark Park (a City of Lauderhill neighborhood park). The bridge will be closed on weekends.

 

Playgrounds: Two large, covered, ADA-accessible playgrounds, Covered play area located on the north and south sides of the park. Equipment includes climbing rocks, colorful double straight slides, 90-degree slides, tunnel slides, mountain climbers, and horizontal loop climbers.

 

 

 

Clock tower

 

Clock Tower:  Approximately 80 feet high and 20 feet square, with four backlit, 10-foot-diameter clocks with chimes.

 

Waterfall: At the State Road 7/U.S. 441 entrance to the park. Approximately 30 feet high, with water cascading from two levels into a large 14-foot-by-80-foot basin that wraps around the three-level “rockscape.” 

 

 

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The following is a partial list of park rules and regulations provided to help ensure that your visit with us is as enjoyable as possible. A comprehensive list of rules and regulations is posted for your convenience throughout the park. Please be responsible for the safety of yourself and your family.

  • Use of the athletic fields, picnic shelters, and picnic pavilions is by permit only.
  • Amplified music is prohibited.
  • Drinking or bringing alcoholic beverages, excluding beer and wine, into the park is prohibited. Beer and wine may also be prohibited in designated areas. Please refrain from bringing glass containers and kegs into the park.
  • Vehicles are allowed on authorized roads and parking areas only. All State of Florida and vehicular laws will be enforced. Maximum speed limits are posted.
  • Swimming is permitted at the aquatics facility only.
  • Grills provided are for charcoal cooking only. Ground fires prohibited.
  • Recycling bins located throughout the park accept the following: aluminum and steel cans,plastic bottles and containers (numbered 1, 2, and 3), milk and juice cartons, and juice boxes. Do not place trash in the recycling bins. For more information about recycling, call 954-765-4999.
  • Pets must be kept under immediate control of the owner at all times and on a leash not to exceed six feet in length. Pets are prohibited in designated areas, including all athletic fields and courts.
  • Feeding of wildlife or stray animals is prohibited.
  • Releasing, abandoning, harming, or capturing domestic animals or native or exotic wildlife is prohibited. Violators are subject to prosecution.
  • Possession or discharge of firearms, weapons, fireworks, or explosives is prohibited.
  • This park employs a Lightning Prediction System, which will sound a 15-second horn blast, accompanied by a flashing strobe, alerting you that a storm is imminent. Once the alarm has sounded and strobes remain flashing, outdoor activity is to be suspended and you should seek shelter immediately, either in a large building or in a vehicle (not a convertible). You may resume outdoor activity only after you hear three (3) five-second horn blasts indicating that the storm has moved out of the area. IF YOU REMAIN OUTDOORS AFTER A WARNING ALARM IS ISSUED, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!

PARK ADMISSION

Free admission on weekdays. Weekend and holiday fees: $1.50/person (children 5 and under free); $8 maximum charge per vehicle (up to nine occupants); $20/commercial bus.

 

Broward County provides and maintains this park for your use and enjoyment. Please respect all park facilities, wildlife, and plant life. Removal of plants or animals is prohibited. Keep your parks and waterways clean and litter-free.

 

Any person violating the existing rules and regulations or in the opinion of a park official constituting a public nuisance or potential hazard to the public or park property, or exhibiting disorderly conduct, shall be served notice by the park official and expelled, without refund of fees, from park property. Such violations are also subject to prosecution in accordance with Florida Statute 125.69.
