MAQ T20 International Cricket Tournament
Planned for Central Broward Regional Park
May 23 - 25, 2008
Cricket Council U.S.A. is hosting a three-day Memorial Weekend MAQ T20 International Cricket Tournament. Cricket fans won't want to miss this one! Top current and former 20/20 All-Star Cricketers from India, Pakistan, the West Indies, and the United States will compete.
20/20 cricket is a short, dynamic version of the popular sport that limits the play length to the approximate time of a baseball game.
On Friday, Game 1 will feature Pakistan versus World XI. The match starts at 4:30 p.m. Game 2 begins at 7:30 p.m. and India will play the West Indies. On Saturday, Game 3 begins at 11 a.m. and World XI will play the West Indies. At 3 p.m., Game 4 begins with India playing Pakistan. An evening concert will start at 7 p.m.
Game 5 (a match between the fourth-and fifth-place teams of the match) will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Game 6, the final match between first and second places will run from 3 to 6 p.m. and will be followed by another evening concert.
The "Nights to Remember Concerts" will feature Bob Marley's son Ky-Mani and many other Caribbean-style and well-known musicians. For more information about the concerts, click here.
