Water is the focus of this 431.4-acre park, which includes the Splash Adventure water park, Ski Rixen USA cable water-skiing, a marina with boats for rent, and several lakes for fishing. For recreation on dry land, the park features mountain bike trails, basketball courts, and a campground with platform tents and tepees. The park is also home to the Renaissance Festival, one of South Florida's most popular annual festivals.
Splash Adventure: This interactive children's water playground features slides, tunnels, turn valves, and much more. Open seasonally. Zero-depth entry to 12 inches at center. Lifeguards on duty at all times. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. Sessions, when in effect, are one hour and 50 minutes and often sell out, so arrive early. U.S. Coast Guard-approved life vests are available free of charge. No coolers, pets, grills, glass containers, or alcoholic beverages allowed inside the aquatics facility. Call for fees and hours.
Funbrellas: Colorful 20-foot-diameter umbrellas available for rental by the day at Splash Adventure, basketball courts, and Lakeview Marina. Each includes tables and grill (except inside the water park). Capacity 30. Deposit required.
Ski Rixen USA: Cable water-skiing - no boat required - at the only wakeboard and water-ski park in South Florida. Slalom, trick-ski, kneeboard, wakeboard, or even surf without a wave. Yearly memberships available. For ages 12 and up. Open daily except Mondays. Call 954-429-0215 for hours and rates. See what it's like to experience Ski Rixen USA firsthand here.
Fishing: Permitted from the shores of the park's several lakes. Freshwater licenses may be required. No fishing allowed near Splash Adventure and Ski Rixen USA. Catch and release only.

Lakeview Marina: The marina is open on weekends and holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the last boat rental going out at 3 p.m. Rental boats consist of: canoes, paddleboats, rowboats, and kayaks. Boat rentals are $7 per boat for one hour or $13 per boat for four hours.
Campground: Rent a site with a platform tent or tepee already set up at the park's innovative Rent-a-Tent campground. There are 25 tent sites and two tepee sites, each with running water, a fire ring, a picnic table, a grill, and electricity. Restrooms and shower facilities are conveniently located throughout the campground. No RV sites are available. Firewood and ice are sold at the park office. Reservations required. View campground rules.
Sites are $
35 per night for up to four campers. Two additional campers may be added at $3 per camper per night, for a total of six campers. The required security deposit is $35 per site. Up to two pets are permitted at $1 per pet per stay. Campground map.

Mountain Bike Trails: 7.1 miles of trail, with segments for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced riders. The trails have been fully renovated under the direction of the International Mountain Bicycling Association, whose local volunteers removed debris, reshaped the land, installed new plants, and constructed new sections of trail. All riders must watch a safety video at the park office and complete a Waiver of Liability (PDF). Riders under 18 must watch the video and have a release and waiver of liability signed by a parent/guardian.

Trail Maintenance Days: Volunteers get together from 8:30 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of the month to maintain the trails. To volunteer, print the project announcement below and bring it to the park, along with a photo I.D. Applications are available at the park, or you may print and bring a completed application to the park.

A Little History: Using funds from the 1978 bond issue, Broward County acquired this 431.4-acre property in the early 1980s from Houdaille Inc., a major dredge-and-fill contractor that used the site essentially as a "borrow pit." The proposed name of Lakeview Park was abandoned in favor of Quiet Waters by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. The park opened to the public in March 1983. Splash Adventure, an interactive children's water playground, was opened in the southeast corner of the park in 1995.
