Quiet Waters Skate Park

Come out and see what all the buzz is about! These features are just a few of the exciting aspects of the skate park (located opposite the concession building from Ski Rixen and to the south of the park playground).

Course area is 20,000 square feet, and the equipment has a Skatelite pro skating surface.

More than a hundred ramps and grind rails.

Food concession stand.

This Skate Park can be used for skateboarding, in-line skating, and BMX biking (Sunday Session #2 only). All skaters and bikers must wear helmets and must sign a release of liability (PDF–941.09 KB).

Brian Piccolo Park
Flipping on skate boardIn-line skaters, skateboarders, and BMX bicycle athletes are finding that the Brian Piccolo Skate Park is truly the place to be. (BMX bicycles are allowed only on Monday and Tuesday nights from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m.) This facility is outdoors, which means it is weather-affected. There is an admission fee and memberships are available. There is a concession food stand and a pro shop with items for rent and sale, but it is suggested that you bring your own equipment. You will need a helmet in order to use this facility. This 35,000-square-foot facility has a concrete base surface with wood ramps and decks made with the Skatelite pro skating surface. The layout of the park includes:

Skating down the ramp
  • Mini-ramp—a four-foot-high ramp with a transition leading to a six-foot-high extension. The ramp has 12 feet of transition at its base.
  • Small Street Course—Ramps and decking range from three to four feet in height. Course consists of a mini-spine, boxes, launch ramps, grinding boxes, a roll-in, quarter pipes, a hip, a flat spine, a wedge box, a bowl, and an extension wall (five feet).
  • Large Street Course—Ramps and decking range from seven to nine feet in height. Course consists of hips, a bowl, a vert wall (12 feet high, two feet of vert), a wave, quarter pipes, wedge boxes, grinding boxes, a trainnie box, a double roll-in with rails, launch ramps, and launch boxes.
  • Spine Ramp—eight-foot decks and spine with 14 feet of transition on either side of the spine.
  • Vert Ramp—Deck and ramp height is 13 feet with a 14-foot extension. Consists of two feet of vert on main section and two feet of vert on extension. Ramp has a roll-in and 16 feet of transition at its base.

Brian Piccolo Park offers in-line speed-skating classes for all ages and groups. The classes are offered every day of the week, but the schedule changes weekly, so call ahead. Activities are for beginners, intermediates, and advanced recreation skates (four wheels) only. For more information, call the Brian Piccolo Skate Park at 954-437-2626.
