Scenic view of the parkVista View opened its gates on July 12, 2003.  The south hill is approximately 160 acres and Broward County has purchased an additional 61 acres, along with the 51-acre north hill, for a total of nearly 272 acres.

Vista View was purchased through the Broward County Commission and the 2000 Safe Parks and Land Conservation Bond program.

This park has become a popular place for the horse community as there is a 1.2-mile horse trail loop around the park which connects to the trails that have been established throughout the Town of Davie.

Bicyclists use the park for trainingOutdoor enthusiasts have been attracted to the park for its athletic challenges.  The hills have become a training ground for cyclists, runners, triathletes, skateboarders, football players and paragliders. Even radio-controlled plane and glider pilots have an airstrip. There is also a dock for fishing.

Vista View is still developing and growing.  Some of the future plans include: more picnic shelters, a corporate pavilion, basketball courts, playgrounds (including a universal access playground that will be called Caitlyn's Corral, and a horse corral.
