 State-Of-The-Art Cruise Facilities Enhance Passenger Security
Designed with designated in-terminal inspection stations for the U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the 11 modern cruise terminals (a 12th is slated for construction) at Port Everglades, with a total square footage of 301,913(37,335 square meters), provide enhanced security for cruise guests and make processing faster and more efficient. Cruise terminals feature:
- comfortable air-conditioned waiting areas with snack bars and restrooms
- efficient processing areas
- expansive baggage claim areas
- automated passenger loading bridges, covered walkways and elevator/escalator access
- two patrolled, secure, covered parking garages with approximately 4,500 spaces
- shuttle service to distant terminals
- vehicle-to-ship porter service for baggage
Millions of cruise customers pass through the Port's cruise terminal facilities each year. The Port serves 19 cruise lines with 49 of the world's finest cruise ships at its berths and terminals. Cruise facilities (including terminals and parking garages) are found in the Northport and Midport sections of the Port. The terminals in Northport are #1, 2, and 4. Midport's terminals include #18, 19, 21, 22/24, 25, 26, and 29.
