The Support Enforcement Division provides enforcement services in cases where payment of child support and/or alimony has been ordered by a court. Jurisdiction extends to cases in which one of the parties lives in Broward County and the other party resides within the state of Florida and no public assistance is being collected. In cases enforced by the Division, payments are monitored for compliance. If voluntary compliance cannot be obtained, payors who do not comply may be scheduled for court on contempt, have their driver's license suspended, be subject to arrest and incarceration, or other appropriate action taken by staff.

The Division also operates the Depository. Services include processing and recording payments on local and out-of-state cases where payments have been ordered to be made through the Broward County Depository, and providing official records for the courts.
