The Revenue Collection Division serves as an agent of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for the purpose of issuing state motor vehicle license plates and parking placards, and processes applications for titles on automobiles, trucks, mobile homes, and boats.

Registration Requirements
Under state law, if you own a motor vehicle, you must renew your tag (vehicle registration) each year by midnight of your birthday. When you renew your tag, you must present proof of personal injury protection (PIP) insurance and at least $10,000 in property damage liability (PDL) insurance. You must also supply the driver's license number of the vehicle owner and co-owner, if applicable.

If you own a mobile home, you must renew your registration each year in December. Most company-owned vehicles must renew vehicle registration in June.

New residents may apply for their auto tag or mobile home registration and a Florida title at any one of the County's auto tag agencies. Since states have different requirements, you should come fully prepared with all documents showing proof of ownership. Your serial number and odometer reading must be recorded on a special form that the Division provides.

Vehicle titles are processed in Tallahassee, and will be mailed to you by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Be prepared to submit proof of required Florida insurance, the driver's license number(s) of all vehicle owners, and the color of the vehicle.
