Children's Services Administration seeks to improve the quality of life and empower Broward County's children and youth. It accomplishes this mission through the activities of four sections: Child Care Licensing & Enforcement, Contract Administration & Planning, One Community Partnership and the Sexual Assault Treatment Center.
Child Care Licensing and Enforcement
954-537-2800
2995 N. Dixie Hwy.
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334
This section licenses child care facilities and Family Child Care Homes in Broward County and monitors licensed facilities for compliance with the County's health and safety standards. This section also registers religious and private schools offering child care services. It provides information on regulations and offers technical assistance to prospective child care service providers, including review of floor plans prior to construction or renovation, and licensing inspection and follow-up. The Enforcement Unit investigates allegations of the operation of unlicensed child care homes and/or centers and recommends fines and/or closure of facilities as needed.
Contract Administration and Planning

115 S. Andrews Ave., Room A360
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
This section is responsible for strategic planning and administration of more than $16 million in contracts awarded to public and not-for-profit organizations that provide a variety of services to children and their families. The focus is on services to meet the behavioral health and special needs of children. This section also provides support to the Broward County Children's Services Board, an advisory board that makes funding recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners for children's services.
One Community Partnership Program
954-730-9578
4200 N.W. 16th Ave., Suite 502
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33313
One Community Partnership is a six-year federal Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration grant project to evaluate and redesign the array of children's mental health services in Broward County into a comprehensive, coordinated system of care. The design of this system is to be driven by family voices that will sustain and support severely emotionally disturbed children in the least restrictive and most clinically appropriate environment.
