The Consumer Affairs Division:
• assists individuals who feel they are victims of unfair or deceptive trade practices
• investigates and mediates disputes between consumers and vendors
• provides an information and referral service
• prosecutes businesses found to be committing unfair and deceptive business practices
• regulates moving and storage within Broward County
• regulates taxicabs and limousines
• regulates non-consent towing rates, auto body repair/paint shops and auto repair shops
• regulates sellers of kosher food
